A Midyear Look at 2025 Furniture Projects

Throughout 2025, our design and project management teams have helped organizations across the Midwest reimagine their workspaces with commercial-grade furniture installations. From government buildings and banks to high schools and community centers, we’ve completed projects both large and small, and each one tells a story about service, insight, and great design.

Some highlights include:

  • Whitaker Bank (Lexington, KY): A full floor installation including HON Accelerate panel series and 45 cubicle workstations, Ignition 2.0 seating, HIA side chairs, and private offices. Account Executive Rick Beach and designer Liz Fickle led this installation in collaboration with Linda Groover. The client noted, "As far as service, we have been pleased and if there was ever an issue it was taken care of immediately."
  • God’s Pantry Food Bank (Lexington, KY): We joined Account Executive Joe Barnette on-site to see the newly installed furnishings at God’s Pantry Food Bank—a beautifully remodeled space that balances functionality with mission-driven warmth. Joe’s trusted partnership with the project lead resulted in a seamless process and a space the team is proud of. The furniture package included KFI seating for reception, AIS desking solutions, SitOnIt task and conference seating, and cafeteria tables by The HON Company. Even more impressive? Joe brought the project in well under budget, maximizing both impact and value for this vital community resource.
  • Findlay High School (Findlay, OH): A few years ago, Findlay High School secured grant funding to elevate key student and staff spaces, and Account Executive Garrett Fleming worked closely with Principal Meg Simon from concept through completion. Over multiple phases, FriendsOffice furnished the cafeteria with SICO tables, added collaborative lounge areas, and installed administrative furniture featuring modular desking, barstools, high tops, and reception pieces by The HON Company. These carefully selected pieces support student organization, encourage collaboration, and offer ergonomic comfort—all in spaces designed to evolve with the district’s needs.
  • Alan H. Davis Judicial Center (Findlay, OH): This new judicial center came together with nearly a dozen truckloads of furniture. From courtroom benches and jail seating to office desks, ergonomic chairs, conference tables, and even private nursing room furnishings with mini refrigerators, no detail was overlooked. Account Executive Barb Williamson coordinated the selection and delivery of furniture designed to meet both public-facing needs and staff functionality. Shoutout to our installation team (including members who traveled from Dayton!) for executing this complex, multi-zone project with precision.
  • East End Community Center (Dayton, OH): Led by Linda Groover, this project brought new life to the community-focused facility by enhancing its public areas with comfortable, welcoming furniture that fits both form and function. A lot of what FriendsOffice contributed to this project included Linda’s guidance for space planning, design, and furniture selection all within a strict budget.
  • Breakroom, Reception, and Training Room Refreshes: Sometimes, it’s the simple upgrades that make the biggest difference. Our team has helped clients choose new chairs, modular tables, and ergonomic seating solutions for employee lounges, kitchens, and professional development spaces. The sky has been the limit!

What ties all these projects together?

Our experienced design team. Their insight into workplace trends, knowledge of manufacturers, and ability to navigate logistics ensures every project runs smoothly. From space planning to final installation, they know what lasts, what works, and what adds value.

Why it matters: Office design is more than just aesthetics, it’s about creating a space that supports productivity, comfort, and professionalism. It’s about being a place where people want to come to work and do their best! Commercial-grade furnishings make a real difference in workplace functionality and brand image. And with access to manufacturers that provide strong warranties and long-term reliability, we make sure your investment goes further.

Looking ahead: As we enter the second half of 2025, our team is energized by what’s ahead. Whether you need a complete furniture overhaul or just a few thoughtful updates, FriendsOffice has the people, products, and project management experience to help you make it happen.
