How long have you worked for Friends Business Source?
It will be three years this October.
How many years have you been in the industry?
About three—Friends is my first venture into office supplies.

I wanted to be an artist, a teacher, or an archeologist.
What was your first full-time job?
I worked at AAA sending help to stranded drivers.
What was your first vehicle/car?
A 2004 Saturn Ion. Go Saturn!
How do you like to relax?
Nothing beats the ocean. Nothing!
What is your favorite book and why?
Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. Not only is it exquisitely written, the story is of the unlikely yet somehow unavoidable triumph of Love and Freedom over Fear and Evil.
What was your favorite or first record/CD you bought?
My first CD was Alanis Morisette’s Jagged Little Pill.
What is your ideal night out?
Out for sushi with my husband and some friends then back home for a game of Pictionary, Taboo, or Catch Phrase.
What is your favorite movie?
There are so many! I’ll say Dead Poets Society.
What is your favorite food?
Fresh, homemade salsa.
What is your favorite drink?
I really like ice water.
What is your favorite holiday destination?
My parents’ house. They dress their tree all in gold with white lights. It’s beautiful!
If you could build your house anywhere, where would it be?
On the ocean coast in a warm climate.
What makes you happy?
Being with the people I love, especially the ones I don’t get to see very often.
What was your luckiest break?
Meeting my husband, Matt. (But receiving a scholarship to study for a semester in Italy is a very close second!!)
What is your best piece of advice?
Travel abroad.
What has been the best moment in your career?
It’s not a single moment, but I really enjoy when new people join our team here at Friends because it is my responsibility (and my pleasure) to train them.
What would you like to be doing in 5 years?
My husband and I would like to start a family and maybe buy a house.
