Your Friend Joel Mishler- Account Manager
Joel Mishler
We asked Joel some questions, and here are his answers
How long have you worked for Friends Business Source?
Three Months
How many years have you been in the industry?
Eight years
What were your childhood ambitions?
My dreams changed a lot as a child growing up but, they have always been things that required thought and mechanical skill. I remember my parents getting so mad at me when shortly after getting my 1st new bike for Easter one year, I had it all tor apart in the back yard, supposedly fixing something that was never broke. (I just wanted to know how it worked. J)
What was your first full-time job?
I started as a paper delivery boy after school then got a job as a part-time Wash Attendant at a full service car wash, with in a year I had been promoted to a full time position as the Assistant Night Manager.
What was your first vehicle?
A Red 1990 Pontiac Sunbird
How do you like to Relax?
By doing projects that take thought, creativity, and require use of my hands. I like wood working, carpentry, auto mechanics, and many other hobbies. (Coffee always helps not matter what!)
What is your favorite book?
My Bible, and any book written by Franklin W. Dixon or Clive Cussler.
What is your favorite music?
Southern Gospel or Older Country.
What is an ideal night out?
Dinner at a quiet restaurant that serves a good steak followed by a good movie and topped off with a good conversation over coffee or tea with my wife and another couple.
Favorite Food?
Classic Lasagna (it has to be made right) with the cheese on the verge of being burnt, and New York Style Cheese Cake.
Favorite Drink?
Plain old classic roast coffee with no frills.
Favorite Vacation Destination?
Tennessee, a Cabin up in the mountains, near Pigeon Forge.
Where would you build a dreamhouse?
On a large private lake somewhere that has mountains, warm summers (not hot!), and lots of snow in the winter for snowmobiling.
What makes you happy?
Peace and Quiet with a good book, or being in my shop building something with my hands.
What was your Luckiest Break?
Meeting my beautiful wife early in life.
What is your best advice?
Treat everyone, no mater how unimportant you think they are, as though they are one of the most important people in your life. You will never regret it, nor will ever fully understand the impact that you may have in their lives.
Joel Mishler
